It seems that the time is coming for some self quarantine. As much as I am addicted to news, especially the awful mess in the US, I'm going to try and spend some time in different ways. As I read recently, this isn't social quarantine, this is physical quarantine. I think we are a lot more lucky than epidemics of the past, we have Internet, video chat, games, and online things to do. And I don't mean Facebook and Instagram which can anger me more when I see people doing stupid things.

First off, I'm no expert but we are taking this seriously. I'm only running out to store if I need to. No restaurants, no bars, and sadly, limited contact with friends. I want people to respect this quarantine, I don't want my Nana or my dad getting sick, both of who are definitely in high risk group. Thankfully my dad buys boxes of [insert whatever is on sale here] so I know they will be just fine food wise. And I'm sure they have toilet paper that will last for many many years to come. And he wasn't even hoarding! (Hi Dad, love you!)

I want people to know that if anyone needs to talk because they are going bat shit crazy, I'm around... I have the luxury of being able to work at home so I'll be still working, coding and getting caught up with things. Plus I have taxes that I need to work on. If anyone wants to chat or message or FaceTime, please feel free.

TV: What I'm Watching Now

I do watch a bunch of TV and so I do have some suggestions of shows I really like. I love discussing TV.

Australian Survivor

I'm thick into this current season, I don't watch American Survivor but I adore Australian survivor.

My Kitchen Rules

This is a crazy long Australian cooking show that has 48 episodes a season. It will definitely fill some time. I started on Season 7 and am almost done. I have like 4 seasons until I'm caught up.

Sex Education

Gillian Anderson FTW. This show is smart and funny. I have been holding off on watching Season 2 because I want to cherish it.

TV: My Favourites

Doctor Foster

British show, two seasons. I loved this show. Plus if you like Villanelle from Killing Eve, she is in it.

Schitt's Creek

Get through the first few episodes and you will be in love. Don't delay, the series finale is coming up.

I have more than this but need to  think about it.

Online Games We Can Play Together

You know where you are safe from Covid-19? On an island playing Fortnite!

I have installed Scrabble Go so this will allow me to play casual scrabble games. Hit me up, it uses a Facebook connection so if you connect Facebook you will see me (and Brad).

Ticket to Ride Online

They have a pretty good app and this is a totally fun game. We would have to make a date to play since we play "live". It is a turn based game. This game allows you to also play against AI's so you can sharpen your skills. It's super fun and if you like it when we are allowed to be in the same room again we can play in person.

Catan Online

A little more intense than Ticket to Ride with a steeper learning curve. It is fun to play online too but it much more time consuming a game than Ticket to Ride. Playing together will also take some planning because it is best played in unison.

Other Solo Activities

I have will also do some solo activities, I'm going to break out a puzzle and I have LEGO to build. Unfortunately Brad won't let me fly the drone off the balcony, so that is out. Guess who is gonna break out the PS4 and do some dancing? This guy! Maybe I'll get through this quarantine full of dance routines when dance floors are open again. I don't want to drive Brad crazy so I won't be breaking out the Singstar.

We also have access to our Peloton, so exercise will not be an issue. I did get a notification today that Pelotion is offering 90 free day trial, so for those of you who what some motivation, you can try it for free. They have stretching, yoga, body weight, running and a lot of guided classes.

Also I am going to teach myself how to do hand stands. Which me luck.
