The first cookie in from the new baking cook book that I’m tackling. I have been Canadian all my life and I have never heard of these cookies.
I actually just googled to find out any information or history behind these cookies but I couldn’t find anything. The book notes that the recipe is an old Prince Edward Island recipe.
On first taste the cookie wasn’t bad. It was somewhat crisp on the outside and chewy on the inside. I’m bringing these to a family event tomorrow and hope they are still somewhat chewy.
