Rizzo’s House of Parm

Rizzo’s House of Parm

It’s definitely a commitment heading out to Crystal Beach (Fort Erie) for this restaurant, but I think it was absolutely worth it. We got a reservation for 3:30 in the afternoon and although we aren’t seniors yet, I thought the timing ended up being perfect.

We left Toronto at 12:30 and arrived to do some exploring at Crystal Beach about 2:30pm. We arrived at the restaurant promptly at 3:25, abiding by the text message the restaurant sent out saying: If you are early, stay in your car. Makes sense, because there is not a big area to wait when you enter the restaurant. We were done and home by 8pm which was fantastic.

There were four of us, Glen, Lukas, Brad and myself, and we were ready to eat after only having a McDonald’s beverage at the start of the road trip.

We got the tasting menu which at first I thought… was it going to be enough? The server let us know it was 3 courses… but wait until you see how much was included in each course! All of this for $65 per person.

FIRST COURSE

APPETIZERS

Meatballs

Dense and Delicious

Mozzarella Sticks

Really damn good ooey gooey goodness.

Garlic & Parm Bruschetta

Home made, I could have filled up on this alone if I had the opportunity.

Burrata

I love me some soft cheese… with grilled focaccia.

Caesar Salad

When you don’t think you have enough food there is a massive salad to share.

Second Course

MAINS

Spaghetti Pomodoro

Tasty and simple.

Matty’s Tagliatelle Bolognese

So hearty, delicious but couldn’t out do the Penne.

Penne alla Vodka

Wow, just wow. A bit of heat and delicious flavour.

Veal Parm

Normally I would eat all of this myself if I didn’t have all the other food in my belly.

Chicken Parm

More parm. And just as delicious.

Roasted Rosemary Potatoes

Because nothing like more carbs with a carb heavy meal, but I will not complain.

Rapini & Chimmichurri

Some veg! And some really tasty veg!

Third Course

DESSERT

Cannoli

You get a cannoli, you get cannoli! Chocolate or Lemon Pistachio.

Tiramisu

To share. And there was definitely none left, even though we were all so full.
